Eileen was born on her family’s homesteaded farm near Lewis, Kansas on February 27, 1924. The daughter of James Leroy and Frances Lucille Vanderree McClaren. She graduated with the Class of 1941 from Lewis High School. She was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.

His service kept the family on the move for the next twenty years. Following high school, Garett attended Southwestern College and Wichita State University on track scholarships. In 2019, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Networking and Telecommunications from Fort Hays State University. He joined the United States Air Force in 2020. Garett ranked Airman First Class and was stationed at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Vandenberg, California.

A member of the Mt. Carmel Yacht Club and Lake Secession Association, she also enjoyed helping with Meals on Wheels. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her much happiness. Mona L. Dailey, 88, of Rostraver Twp., died Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Kenneth Richard Biggs, 92, of Andover, KS passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022. He was born in Wichita, KS on July 17, 1930 and graduated from Augusta High School in 1949. Ken had worked as a concrete plant operator and truck driver at Lewis & West Inc. and also worked at Schneider Feed & Grain and Taylor Grain for many years. In June of 1973 he married Joyce Marie Biggs and they were blessed with nearly 50 years of marriage together.
She was born November 13, 1929 in Glassport, a daughter of the late John and Genevieve Dworek. Jean was a member of the former St. Timothy Church in Smithton where she was past president of the Christian Mothers and a Eucharistic Minister. Prior to retirement she was an executive secretary for United Steel Workers of America International Office. Warren Francis Fox, Jr, dear brother of Darlene M. Fox, Jean M. Nixon, Dorothy M. Amato, Billy E. Fox and Karen L. Iman. Also survived by 5 nephews, 5 great nephews and 5 great nieces.

Fred James Johnson, age 77, died October 14th, 2022 at home, from heart related issues. He was born on April 17th, 1945 in Melrose, Kansas to James Luther and Effie Mae Johnson. Fred married Cynthia Sue , in Great Bend, in 1964. They move to Lewis, Kansas when Fred started working for Cross Mfg. and then moved to Kinsley, Kansas for a few years, then finally moving to Trousdale, Kansas in 1973. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McCalla was preceded in death by a sister, Winton Lewis; three brothers, Julius ‘Buddy’ King, Osborne King and Allen King. This is the cost to purchase a burial vault from the funeral home.

Noble was born in Dodge City, Kansas on November 21, 1945, to the late Myra Louise and William Henry Bair. He graduated from Minneola High School on May 20, 1965. Noble began work at Beech Aircraft in 1966 and retired in 2001. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman.
